Nurse Ratchett Report #2… Elephant in the Room

Tina (Old Bean) is in good spirits this morning – not surprizing and why would we expect anything less?!  However, she did tell me there was an elephant in her room … at first I thought “too many meds?”  Nope – the elephant she speaks of is sitting on her chest!  Ouch … how painful…  yes, she is in lots of pain but that was to be expected.  Bless her little cotton socks.

The surgery went well and the doctor said her lymph nodes looked really good.  She will get final word on this next week when she goes in for her post-op appointment, but over all great news!  And – can you believe it?  There is talk that she will be coming home today!!  I will keep everyone posted as to when she does arrive home.  Sooo – Nurse Ratchett better get her hat on, and get going on my duties!  Tina’s room in shape … clean sheets (check), hoovered and dusted (check), flowers (check), werthers butterscotch (check), sports whistle (check) … hmmm, that one I better get use to!!!

I’m in Arizona and being able to check on her this way is wonderful.

  3. I didn’t find this until today, but know that I’ve been thinking about you, my dear. Hope your recovery is swift and as pain-free as possible.
And to Julie and Peter, thank you for taking such great care of our girl. 🙂
